Dress Code

Below is our Dress Code. Dress Code does vary by level. Please be mindful of that while reading, and contact us if you have any questions.

• Shoes: Required dance shoes may be purchased at the MDC Boutique.

• Mini Movers: Shorts, t-shirt and barefoot.

• Newbies & Petites: Pink and/or tan tights with a leotard. You have the option to wear a tutu, skirt or dance shorts with your outfit. Required ballet and tap shoes. Hair pulled back out of face.

• Acro: Leotard, shorts and no shoes.

Minis-Advanced:

• Ballet Technique & Pointe: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun.

• Hip Hop: Tennis shoes and comfortable loose clothing.

• Tap: Comfortable, loose clothing. Required tap shoes.

• Jazz, Lyrical & Contemporary: Tight fitting dance attire is required. Leotards or dance tops and bottoms. Required appropriate dance shoes.

Other Tips:

• Please wear a cover-up when entering and leaving the studio.

• Slip on/slide on ‘go home’ shoes are best for Mini Movers, Newbies and Petites.

• Dancers carry their equipment to dance class in a small tote bag. Tote/Dance Bags can be purchased at MDC Boutique.

• Please write your name on all items brought to the studio. 

• Jewelry should be limited to small earrings. No bracelets, necklaces or long fake nails.
