Machita Dance Company is proud to offer a variety of dance and acro classes during the summer for children of all ages. From tap to ballet, jazz to hip hop, lyrical to contemporary - we are a well-rounded dance studio located right outside of Baton Rouge in Port Allen, Louisiana. Come dance with us!

LUX
JUNE 5th-6th
for dancers ages 6+
This is our very own in-house Dance Convention, bringing three prestigious teachers from around the world to work with our students in a positive and familiar learning environment while providing classes in different styles. At the end of the final day, there is a LUX Showcase, open to friends and family to see what the dancers have learned. Scholarships are also awarded at the end of the Showcase.
You do not want your dancer to miss this awesome, positive, fun experience!

ELEVATE INTENSIVE

Time to ELEVATE to the next level!
Are you ready to build strength, endurance and flexibility? In this intensive we will explore the different techniques of training while we take classes such as Stretch & Strength, Conditioning, Acro, Jazz Technique, Leaps & Turns & Ballet.
The studio will open at 8:30am and close at 3:30pm.
Extended care is available 8:00am-4:00pm.

MINI MOVERS CAMP

New to dance?
This class is designed to introduce our little ones to the creative and expressive world of dance. This program enhances their natural movement providing a strong foundation for technical and cognitive approaches. Great class for boys and girls! A perfect combination of Creative Movement and Acro.
The creative movement portion consists of a fun, interactive sing-along/dance class. The use of upbeat music and wonderful props will provide a great environment for boys and girls to have a blast. They will work to improve and develop their balance, coordination, rhythm, creativity, and most of all, confidence. Acro will be basic rolls, jumping, and more.

WICKED FUN DANCE CAMP

We’re Bringing the enchanting story of WICKED to life through dance and creative play. You don’t want to miss this one!
Our young dancers will explore various dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Acro - all set to the enchanting music from “Wicked”. Each day will feature fun and engaging activities inspired by the characters and story, like creating “Oz” inspired crafts. There’s something for every little witch and wizard!
Our camp is desinged to be a fun and interactive experience where children can express themselves creatively and make new friends. Our experienced and caring instructors are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive enviornment for all young dancers. Your child will leave with wonderful memories, new dance skills and a love for the magical world of “Wicked”. At the end of the week, our little dancers will showcase their newfound skills in a mini performance for family and friends.
*This camp is great for boys & girls! This camp is a great introduction of Jazz for 5-7 year olds.

Who wants to improve their Ballet skills? Here is your chance!
Join our ballet camp this summer to enhance your Ballet Technique. Elevate your skills while enjoying the guidance of our wonderful Ballet Mistress, Katherine! Master terminology, technique, musicality and more. We’re putting the FUN in fundamentals!
Summer is the perfect time to focus on ballet without the distractions of the school year. Consistent practice during the summer helps maintain and improve your skills, keeping you in top form for the upcoming dance season.

PRINCESS TEA PARTY DANCE CAMP

Ever wanted to be a Princess? This is your camp!
Pretending to be a Princess with pretty wands and crowns is what we do best. We will have a tea party too! You never know what Princess may come share story time with our little princesses. On the last day there will be a Royal Performance for family and friends to watch. Styles will include Ballet, Tap, Creative Movement, and Acro. This camp is a great introduction to Jazz for 5-7 year olds.
