LUX at MDC
DJ Guthrie is bringing his in-house convention, LUX, to MDC!
What is Lux?
Our dancers will be given the absolute best in training, motivating, dance education from some of the best dance educators in the country. LUX is bringing the entire convention experience directly to us!! The dancers will take classes in styles such as Contemporary, Hip Hop & Jazz. Also, they will sit in for a industry Q&A at the end of the firstly to let the students hang out with the LUX faculty & ask questions about pursuing professional dance careers, continued education, etc. At the end of the final day, the LUX Showcase is open up to all friends & family to display everything this students have learned so you can see exactly what you invested in because experiences like these are not only about training, they are about investing in the dancers future!!

DJ Guthrie
The owner & creator of Lux. DJ is from Dallas, Tx and moved to LA after dancing with the Orlando Ballet for 9 seasons while getting his BA at Rollins College in International Business. He has appeared in films such as High School Musical 3, Shrek Forever After & 500 Days of Summer. Also on tv performances on Glee, Dancing With the Stars, America's Got Talent, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader: Making the Team and So You Think You Can Dance. He has also choreographed/danced in commercials & live performances for Ford, McDonald's, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. Aside from touring all over the world & working commercially, DJ travels with the dance convention LA Dance Magic and teaches master classes for studios and professional companies all over the world. His innovative approach to musicality & movement theory, extensive technical vocabulary & blend of several styles into one has gained him a continually growing following.
Alex Fetbroth
Alex was born in Massachusetts. With 19 years of dancing under his belt, he has trained in hip hop, jazz, ballet, modern & many other dance styles. He has worked with artists such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Cee Lo Gree, Becky G & many more. He has also worked with many notable choreographers including Luther Brown, Nappy Tabs, Hi-Hat, Jamal Sims, Dave Scott, Misha Gabriel, Laurie Ann Gibson, Nick Demoura, and many more. He has performed & assisted on X Factor, So You Think You Can Dance, an Apple Music commercial, the AMAs, Hannah Montana: The Movie, as well as music videos, feature films, & live performances around the world. Along with a professional dance career, Alex has teaching slots at LA's premier dance studios: Millennium Dance Complex & Movement Lifestyle. Alex's passion for dance is something that's always been present since he was a child & only wishes to continue learning & growing in the craft he loves.
Victoria Pizzo
Victoria was born & raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where she trained, choreographed & danced competitively until she was 18. She then went to Chapman University where she received a BFA in Dance Performance & minor in English Literature & Creative Writing. Since 2015, she has worked professionally as a dancer & choreographer around the country & internationally. She is the first ever winner of the choreography contest Make Your Move LA and has been a member of the Miss Universe choreography team for the past 3 years. She is now a judge, teacher & choreographer for StarSystems Dance Competition & Nationals. She has choreographed and danced in music videos, commercials, film & live tv broadcasts & is represented by Go 2 Talent Agency. She teaches regularly in LA & is so excited to work with the young dancers of today.
Leona Morimune
Leo's extensive training began at the age of 8 on a full scholarship with the San Francisco Ballet and continued for 10 years. He studied ballet, jazz, modern, blues, Afro Haitian & choreography under the direction of Elvia Marta at the School of the Arts San Francisco. He also trained with the Dance Company of SF, under the direction of Chris Jacobsen, where he studied contemporary, ballet, lyrical, hip hop & jazz. He danced in the San Francisco Ballet's Nutcracker from 1994-2002, & danced in Russia with the San Francisco Opera in 1994. In transition of becoming a commercial dancer he has choreographed, assisted, & danced for artists such as Carlos Santana, Jackie Chan, Paula Abdul & 50 cent to name a few. As a company dancer, he has performed for choreographers such as Dee Caspary, Justin Giles & Chris Jacobsen. Leo is currently pursuing a career as choreographer & instructor. He has toured as a convention teacher for LA Dance Magic & iHollywood. He now guest teaches for Hollywood Vibe as well as many other dance events for Universities & numerous dance events across the country.
